This limited release from Momotaro was designed in partnership with Kyoto Montsuki, a 100-year-old Japanese dye house specializing in black Japanese ceremonial wear. The 15oz selvedge denim has undergone a laborious process of repeated dyeing and sun drying called "Shinkuro", resulting in a profound black color and a smooth, soft surface. Cut in a modified Type-1 fit complete with pockets at the waist and single chest pocket. Finished with custom Momotaro hardware and details.

The name Momotaro is born from a famous Japanese folktale, in which a boy born from a giant peach grows up to save his village from marauding demons. The pink selvedge and inseam are an homage to the peach in this story, and the signature battle stripes represent the war flag the boy carried into battle. Thanks to their careful attention to detail, Momotaro has become one of the most celebrated denim brands in the world.
